Certificate / Diploma in Clinical Supervision with an Intersectional Lens

The course is a multi modality in person Supervision Diploma looking through a lens of power dynamics and intersectionality. Offering a current theoretical framework, looking at models for supervision theory and practice, while deconstructing the models to provide an inclusive and relevant social and cultural context for clinical intersectional supervision.

The course will offer an intersectional lens and consider social, political, historical and social contexts across the theory, process and practise. Inviting radical openness and non defended dialogue around themes of difference, power, privilege and oppression.

Aims

• To offer an intersectional teaching team and multi modality experience
• To reflect on and deconstruct normative models of Supervision
• To be challenged around themes of power, privilege and oppression
• To Offer an intersectional lens across every aspect of being and development as a supervisor
• To bring an intersectional lens across clinical supervision models and practise.
• To facilitate students owning and accounting for intersectional identity and themes of power
• To reflect on the place of openness and dialogue in the supervision dyad
• To facilitate students developing their unique model of intersectional supervision
• To develop an intersectional model collectively, to develop this in the form of a case study
• Students will have the opportunity of live supervision from different perspectives, attending to parallel process and individual and systemic oppression

The course will run in person at TA East from January - June 2025 and consists of 6 units on Fridays from 5 – 9pm and Saturday 9am – 6pm.

Unit 1:  Friday 24th and Saturday 25th January 2025

Unit 2:  Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd February 2025

Unit 3:  Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd March 2025

Unit 4:  Friday 25th and Saturday 26th April 2025

Unit 5:  Friday 16th and Saturday 17th May 2025

Unit 6:  Friday 20th and Saturday 21st June 2025
